Therapy for Change

Most people benefit from an opportunity to talk about difficulties they are experiencing or have experienced in their lives. Psychotherapy is a helping relationship that gives you the space to think about yourself, your life and the problems you may be facing. Through shared exploration, you may find relief from recurring problems, live your life more fully and realise your full potential. This is a process of change, as well as of understanding.

I am experienced in working with a diverse range of people with a variety of concerns, all seeking to change something in their life.

Your feelings are your feelings. They are neither good nor bad. Together we can enable you to make sense of them.

I offer short-term solution-focused counselling and longer term, more in-depth psychotherapy.

I am a professionally qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

I practice in Central and East London

About Therapy

Psychotherapy provides the space to think about yourself and your life. Difficulties can arise out of relationships, from own beliefs and attitudes, and also because of the attitudes embedded in our culture and society.Through shared exploration you may find relief from recurring difficulties, understand how past experiences and repeating patterns or worries about the future are causing difficulties in your life. This understanding can help you to start making changes  in order to feel more in control.

  • Cope with depression, anger or grief

  • Talk about relationships

  • Deal with stress, anxiety or panic

  • Develop self esteem

  • Heal from trauma

  • Talk through issues surrounding gender and sexual diversity

  • Change negative behaviour patterns

  • Adjust to significant life changes

  • Think through new directions and choices

I offer both short-term solution-focused counselling and longer term, more in-depth psychotherapy. We can discuss what might be most appropriate for you when you first get in touch.

My approach is integrative and I draw upon a range of theories and models that best supports the growth and change processes. I prioritise establishing a safe, trusting, mutually respectful and collaborative alliance in which we can together explore whatever issues have contributed to your decision to seek therapy at this time.

In addition I specialise in trauma focused therapy and am able to offer eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) to help process

traumatic past events
